US restaurant chain Quiznos to step up India presence


NEW DELHI: American quick service restaurant chain Quiznos will set up over 150 outlets in North and West India within the next five years. Quiznos has entered into a master franchise agreement with Delhi restaurantmanagement company Sub-One Hospitality Services to open outlets across states like Punjab, Delhi/NCR, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra, the company said in a press release.
Quiznos entered India last year with the launch of its first outlet in Hyderabad. It has a presence in 35 countries through more than 4,000 restaurants. Quiznos' entry in India was the brand's first foray in South-East Asia. Quiznos' chief development officer (international) Lee Vala said in a statement: "The Indian quick service restaurant market is evolving and it will have a much larger share in the overall food and beverage industry in the coming years." The franchisee outlets will be available in different formats like kiosks, food court and standalone restaurants.
